I stayed at Hunza Darbar Hotel recently for the Hundan Film Festival, and honestly, the experience was really solid. The staff here is just… good people. Super supportive of the festival, the events, and worked around all the chaos we created! I actually arrived with food poisoning from before the trip (not from the hotel), and they were incredibly kind about it. They helped organize medical support, checked up on me multiple times, and generally made sure I was okay. The chef went out of the way to accommodate my dietary needs. That alone made a huge difference to the whole stay. The hotel itself has some of the best views in Hunza. You get Ulter Peak and Rakaposhi, Baltit Fort; proper old-school Hunza postcard stuff. It’s one of the older, more established hotels in the area, and the vantage point really shows. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Proper morning buffet with live stations, good variety, local butter and jams — simple but really well done. If I had to nitpick, the bathrooms are a bit dated. Good Old marble tiling that was hallmark of regal older hotels. Probably the next thing they’ll upgrade when they renovate. Overall, really positive stay. Great staff, great management, great energy. Would happily come back. P.s My stay was in end of November and the room heating/water heating was excellent.
Excellent staff and service but room rates were a bit high. Beautiful inner decor with melodious music and comfortable rooms. The only thing I didn't liked was the water, it was glacier water and the color was greish giving and ugly look. They could save and clean water. Local hotels were also having same water but was crystal clear not as theirs.
Nice hotel, great service. Stayed here for one night, party of 3. The room was a little dated but clean and fairly spacious. We had views of the Gilgit fort. The woodwork throughout the hotel is beautiful. The lobby is big and has a nice atmosphere. The staff is incredibly polite, nice and helpful. Upon arrival we were presented with tea and a bowl of freshly picked cherries from the garden. The breakfast buffet was nice, the highlight being an omelette bar. The views of the restaurant over the Hunza valley are incredible. We did walk into the luxury Serena hotel across the street as well: looks amazing, but about twice the price of the Darbar, so we were happy with our choice.
Very nice and enjoyable stay at the darbar hôtel. It was very well situated (in the centre), the staff was very kind, great food with a very beautiful view of the mountains. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there if I come back to Hunza <3
